In order to bring students closer to Library and inculcate the reading habit among children, Mishmi Hills foundation Hawai in collaboration with Bamboosa Library Tezu organized awareness Programme in Govt. Hr.Sec.School Hawai and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Hawai on 14th October 2017. The volunteers from Bamboosa Library mesmerized the students and teachers of Govt. Hr.Sec.School Hawai by showing their skills in Skit presentation, Poem recitation, Storytelling (Mishmi dialect & English) and book reading. The skit presented by the Volunteers with the theme “Importance of Education” received a huge applause and appreciation from the teaching staff and Students, as it conveyed the importance of Education in making the society and country progressive.
The volunteers appealed the students to make habit of visiting library and reading books. They also shared their experience of the benefit which they got by going to Library and reading library books. The volunteers encouraged the students to visit and study books in “Totochan Library” run under the aegis of Mishmi Hills.
