The Mishmi hills Foundation, in collaboration with the NSS unit of GHSS Hawai celebrated 150th Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at GHSS Hawai on 2nd October 2018 in a befitting manner. Floral tributes were offered to the Portrait of Gandhiji by principal in charge, teachers and students to show mark of respect and homage to the great soul. Speeches on the life of Gandhi and his teachings were delivered by the teachers and students.
The day was also observed with conduct of various literary events. Three events namely Speech, Essay and drawing competition were conducted by the Mishmi Hills foundation and a Quiz competition was conducted by NSS Unit of GHSS Hawai. Students from JNV Hawai, GHSS Hawai and Middle School Walla actively participated in these competitions. The prizes were distributed to the winners by the principal in charge Shri. Bafrelum Bellai.
